Self-learning rule system

The seamless integration of an AI system into the APICON Data Master can significantly reduce the effort involved in SAP master data maintenance. This is because this AI system is able to independently derive rules for this data from existing SAP data. This opens up completely new possibilities for both the analysis and maintenance of master data. The self-learning system often eliminates the need to create explicit check or assignment rules for SAP field values. This dramatically reduces the effort required to implement and maintain a rule-based master data cockpit in the APICON Data Master.

The rule system in the Data Master is still available for explicit rules and rule groups. This allows hybrid applications with clearly formulated rules and AI rules with an indication of their trustworthiness (confidence) to be implemented as required.

Preconfigured use cases

Thanks to predefined use cases, the solution can be used within a few days. The AI determines rules for the following applications:

Assignment (classification), e.g. to part family or product group
Data enrichment, e.g. determining the procurement type or fields depending on organizational units (plant)
Validation, e.g. detection of input errors (typing errors, incorrect decimal point)
Extraction of field values (attributes) from texts, e.g. from the long text of the material or sales text
Duplicate detection: which data is identical or similar in SAP

AI integration in data master applications

Like all Data Master functions, the AI functions can be parameterized in the Data Master system settings. This allows them to be integrated into the applications and menus as required. The advantages of the modular structure and complete integration in a certified add-on are also evident here.
