Data Master even more efficient with SAP Fiori

All functions at a glance with the Launchpad

The Fiori Launchpad replaces the Data Master menu tree familiar from the SAP GUI. In the Fiori Launchpad, all the functions that a user needs are clearly displayed as tiles. This gives you a direct overview of all apps.

Important information immediately available

For a quick overview, initial information on the respective app is already displayed in the tiles. This makes it possible to immediately identify any need for action. Click on the corresponding tile to start the assigned app and process the SAP data directly.

Using Fiori apps in the classic Data Master

A major advantage of the Data Master architecture is that Fiori apps can also be integrated into the classic SAP GUI interface of the Data Master. This allows users to gradually enter the Fiori world. Some power users will initially want to continue working in the SAP GUI and can also use new Fiori apps without changing the user interface.

Fiori is based on the following core principles:

  • Design philosophy: Fiori is based on modern design principles that focus on simple navigation, clear structures and an appealing visual design. The user interface is intended to optimize users' daily work processes.
  • Responsive design: Fiori applications are optimized for various end devices, from desktop computers to tablets and smartphones. The responsive design enables a consistent user experience on different screen sizes.
  • Role-based: Fiori applications are role-based, which means that the user interface and the information displayed are tailored to the user's respective role. This helps to ensure that users only see the information relevant to their tasks.
  • Apps: Fiori offers a variety of applications, so-called Fiori apps, which have been specially developed for specific business processes or tasks. These apps can be used as stand-alone applications or integrated into existing SAP solutions.
  • Technological basis: Fiori was originally developed for use with SAP S/4HANA, but is not limited to this. It can also be used with other SAP products and solutions.
  • Fiori Launchpad: The Fiori Launchpad is the central entry point for Fiori applications. This is where users can access the apps relevant to their role.
